Does your chocolate contain any heavy metals or mold?

No! It is one of the rarest sources on earth with tests that outperform every other source we’ve encountered and an impeccable processing that mitigates against the environmental influence of mold formation.

What is the percentage of your chocolate…is it dark chocolate?

The short answer is most of our chocolate taste like a dark chocolate. Chocolate percentage according to industry standards is based off of sugar input against “cocoa” which isn’t reflective of how we formulate. Our Chocolate is between 65% and 70% cacao but is not 35% to 40% sugar. We use 0% refined sugar! Our sweeteners themselves are mineral supplements if taken alone and the superfoods that have hydrocarbons (or carbohydrates) also work to regulate blood (insulin).

Why do you use cane sugar if you are such a healthy company?

As cane sugar as a commodity goes - we don’t! Although our mineral rich sustainably grown and harvested sweetener comes from the richness of volcanic soil in Ecuador and is of the grass family that produces the sugar known as cane, our sweetener is an enzyme rich living crystal of minerals that is loaded with hydrocarbon chains…it’s effects are net positive rather than the refined mineral stripped corporate alternative “cane sugar”. The cane is minimally processed and the whole juice is sun dried cane crystals.

How is your “unroasted cacao” different from roasted chocolate?

Heating chocolate is required when preparing beans before stone grinding, but the heat varies between makers and producers. An simple explanation is that the higher the quality of bean and the greater attention to the process of fermentation the less heating is required in order to transform the flavour through cooking, like roasting out bitter or tangy notes for example. No chocolate that isn’t the color purple is truly “raw” and we are not seeking raw cacao with intact enzymes. Our chocolate handled mindfully from growth to finished bar.

Why do you not have a nutritional table on your label?

Nutritional Tables use standardized “daily value” models derived from sources that are suspect - at best, and therefore we chose to forego and instead appreciate the living alchemy of combining some of the densest and safest superfoods known to the traditional pharmacopeia of plants, mushroom, minerals and amino acids.

Are the formulas safe to eat at any time during the menstrual cycle?

Yes, although formulated with the waxing and waning of the cycles in mind, the benefits will still be bioavailable and work towards strengthening and balancing the body systems overall. It is completely safe to be intuitive about which bar you would like to have, or enjoy multiple bars, especially for a taste testing.

Is your chocolate safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women?

While the safe answer here is, “always consult a health practitioner” we can employ some rounded sense and come to appreciate that beyond the certificates of analysis for the ingredients we use that ensure there are no poisons, the superfoods themselves are possibly safer than all the fruits and vegetables in the produce section of the grocery store and healthier at that. Pregnancy and post partum is an exciting time for a woman and baby, and some women may have sensitivities to the effects of some of the ingredients. We honour leave it up to each individual if a sacred pause is right for them.
