FORMULA BENEFITS

SCHIZANDRA

Schizandra, rich in antioxidants, is known as the five-flavor berry ( wu wei zi) in TCM, with a balanced taste profile of sweet, salty, sour, bitter and astringent, and is prized for its adaptogenic qualities.

Especially beneficial for women, it is one of the safest botanicals to consume that both supports and gently protects liver cells and stimulates detox pathways; cleansing and building red blood cells.

Aiding in stress resistance and boosting endurance, schizandra pulses support liver, while tonifying the ovaries, pituitary gland, hypothalamus, and adrenals! Schizandra enhances skin and eye health and fortifies the body's defence against oxidative stress.

MACA

Maca, also known as Peruvian ginseng, enhances energy levels and endurance while balancing hormones and increasing libido in both men and women, and is especially beneficial for women in supporting menstruation, fertility health and easing pms symptoms. Maca aids in memory and learning, and improves mood.

This adaptogenic root has malted nutty caramel notes which pairs beautifully with cacao, and is rich in vitamins B, C, E and minerals such as calcium, zinc, iron, and magnesium.

VANILLA

The ambrosia of the sensual one, forever entwined with cacao, your pure essence enchants us.

Holy and Heavenly. This enchanting bean of a miraculously hand pollinated orchid shining under the light of Venus is rich in the phenolic compound vanillin a neuroprotective antioxidant and anti-inflammatory that boosts immunity, and naturally soothes and relaxes with calming yet euphoric aphrodisiac effects.

RHODIOLA

Rhodiola Rosea, the "golden root," is an adaptogen renowned for enhancing mood, reducing stress, and alleviating fatigue. Found growing in high altitudes where few plants survive, this plant attunes us to adapting and building resilience while we interact with our surroundings.

Rhodiola Rosea can assist women in our menstrual cycle in several ways. It may act as an estrogen receptor modulator, increasing or decreasing estrogen into balance. It can also enhance mood by reducing symptoms of depression or anxiety that often accompany hormonal fluctuations by suppressing cortisol, mitigating the impact of stress on menstrual regularity and intensity, lending toward a comfortable cycle.

Rhodiola has a distinct ability to calm our nervous system while boosting physical and mental endurance, potentially improving athletic performance and cognitive function. This herb also shows promise in managing mild to moderate depression and aiding in stress-related burnout recovery.

TURKEY TAIL MUSHROOM

Turkey Tail mushroom, aka Trametes Versiclor is a beautiful medicinal mushroom with its rich antioxidant and immune-modulating/boosting properties, and supports the follicular phase by enhancing overall health.

Regulating gut bacteria, improving nutrient absorption, playing a vital role in hormonal balance, including those hormones influential and building during the follicular phase.

By supporting general immune function, turkey tail heals and generates a more favourable internal environment for reproductive health.

CODONOPSIS ROOT

A blood building hidden gem of traditional eastern medicine, this very mild and gentle root has served women for centuries by boosting the immune system, tonifying the spleen and lungs, replenishing vital fluid production and above all rebuilding blood as the season springs!

NETTLE

Arriving with the first signs of Spring, this powerhouse of an adaptogen is high in vitamins A and C, super anti-inflammatory, calms skin conditions and strengthening circulation.

Nettle is particularly beneficial for women due to its high iron content, which can help combat anemia and rebuild blood post bleed.

It's traditionally used to support hormonal balance, and for women with urinary issues, nettle acts as a natural diuretic, supporting kidney function and possibly alleviating urinary tract infections, a common concern among women.

HOLY BASIL

Holy Basil, the enchanting ayurvedic ‘Tulsi” has been an all-star adaptogen used in Vedic formulas to balance and tonify mindbody since time immemorial.

Activating the intuitive pineal portal and carrying waves of balancing messages through the glands of the endocrine system to raise the hormones as we come into our follicular phase.

Tulsi is Holy! It is great for sensitive skin and scalp health mitigating environmental degeneration and is packed with Vitamin a and c, calcium and iron.

L THEANINE

L-Theanine, found in tea leaves, is known for promoting relaxation without causing drowsiness, helping to reduce stress and anxiety.

It enhances focus and attention, particularly when combined with chocolate, offering a smooth energy lift and mental clarity without the jitters.

L-Theanine can improve sleep quality by promoting alpha brain waves, which contribute to a clear calm meditative-like state.

RED CLOVER

Red Clover flowers are one of the select few herbs that we use that isn’t an adaptogen but is commonly found in advance formulas made by practitioners to aid in overall menstrual health.

We placed it in the follicular and the luteal phases where it’s phytoestrogens, particularly isoflavones like biochanin A, formononetin, daidzein, and genistein target estrogen receptors, acting as mild estrogens. It’s important to note here that while HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) functions similarly, the estrogens from red clover target different receptor sites making this a potentially healthier option for longevity.

WILD SERVICEBERRY

WILD STRAWBERRY

WILD HONEYSUCKLE

Wild Honeysuckle has been traditionally used for its cooling and anti-inflammatory properties, which might help in alleviating discomforts like inflammation or heat-related symptoms during the menstrual cycle, including the follicular phase.

It's known to have mild detoxifying effects, potentially aiding the body's natural processes to maintain hormonal balance, which could be beneficial during the phase when estrogen levels are rising.

Some cultures use honeysuckle for reproductive health, suggesting it might indirectly support the follicular phase by fostering an environment conducive to healthy hormonal function.
